Bare concrete makes a good car look like stock. A tiled floor frames it. Lay display bays in one colour, walkways and the handover area in another, and lift and relay the tiles when the layout changes — over a weekend, with no downtime and nothing to dry.

A pack of 25 tiles covers 4 m². Edge ramps are sold separately: measure each open edge a car or trolley will cross.

Fitting

Down in an afternoon

No adhesive and no special tools: a rubber mallet, a tape measure and a fine-tooth saw for the last row.

  1. Sweep the floor

Clear the garage and sweep the concrete. It needs to be solid and near enough level; hairline cracks and old oil stains can stay.

  2. Start in a corner

Lay the first tile in the corner furthest from the door, loops facing out, and work back towards the entrance.

  3. Tap them together

Line up the tabs and loops and tap each joint down with a rubber mallet until it sits flat.

  4. Cut and finish

Trim the last row to fit with a jigsaw or fine-tooth saw, then clip edge ramps on wherever you drive in.

Questions

Before you order

Can I jack a car up on the tiles?

Yes — spread the load as you would on any plastic floor. Put a board or a jack pad under the trolley jack and the axle stands. Driving and parking on the tiles is what they are made for.

Does the floor need to be level first?

The tiles follow the floor underneath, so they hide stains and hairline cracks but not dips. Fill any hollow deeper than a few millimetres before you start.

Vented, smooth or coin-top?

Vented lets water and grit drop through — best for wash bays and detailing. Smooth is the easiest to sweep and looks cleanest in a showroom. Coin-top adds grip where people walk. They all lock together, so you can use more than one.

How do I clean them?

Sweep or vacuum, then mop. With vented tiles, lift a few now and then and rinse the concrete underneath.

How is the order delivered?

Tiles are packed 25 to a box and sent by courier to UK addresses. The delivery options and their prices are shown in the basket before you pay.
